Numerous flights were delayed or cancelled at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Louis+Armstrong+New+Orleans+International+Airport\/@29.9954786,-90.259355,795m\/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x8620b7747a837831:0xfae3336b9ce9d1d0!8m2!3d29.9940319!4d-90.259657!16zL20vMDFuMndz?entry=ttu&amp;g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDExNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D\">Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport<\/a> from 21-22 January 2025, where the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NWSNewOrleans\/status\/1881888699698561085\/photo\/1\">airport accumulated 8 inches<\/a> from the storm. Additional unofficial snow reports across the New Orleans metro area, that also includes neighboring parishes and counties can be accessed via <a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/product.php?site=NWS&amp;issuedby=LIX&amp;product=PNS&amp;format=CI&amp;version=1&amp;glossary=0\">National Weather Service (NWS)<\/a>.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/new-orleans\/2025\/01\/21\/in-photos-historic-snowstorm-new-orleans-louisiana\">Photos and videos of the snowstorm in New Orleans were collected and depicted by Axios<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/weather.com\/storms\/winter\/news\/2025-01-22-winter-storm-live-blog-new-orleans-florida-snow-atlanta\">The Weather Channel<\/a> has the latest updates covering the winter storm and its impacts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fresh snowpack was captured by the VIIRS instrument on-board JPSS polar-orbiting satellites. The NOAA-21 VIIRS GeoColor product observed the snow cover over southern Louisiana and Mississippi at 750-m spatial resolution. Notice the sharp gradient of snow cover (seen in white) located south of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Alexandria,+LA\/@31.2955846,-92.482042,25869m\/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x86254d49e9ffcce3:0xc1e65dd9e413f7ff!8m2!3d31.3112936!4d-92.4451371!16zL20vMDEzZ3o?entry=ttu&amp;g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDEyMC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D\">Alexandria, LA<\/a>, exhibiting a southwest-to-northeast orientation. From this RGB, the snow cover is seen in green, extending from southeast Texas to the Carolinas.
