Dakota Smith and Josh Reiter of the Imagery Production Team traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to attend the AMS Annual Conference on Broadcast Meteorology from June 12-14th, 2024. This conference facilitated communication of experiences, research, and best practices in broadcast meteorology and beyond. Dakota Smith and Josh Reiter both gave in-person presentations, focusing on the inclusion of satellite imagery in a public format. Dakota Smith showcased compelling satellite imagery and how they can captivate an audience, while Josh Reiter focused on the various ways that JPSS imagery can be used to provide a different perspective on the weather story.
