New Satellite Liaison Blog Post:
A blog post titled “Widespread Dense Blowing Dust Plume – 15 Jan 2021” was recently published. The post demonstrates use of GOES and VIIRS imagery available to forecasters for detecting and tracking a southern plains blowing dust event, including operational perspectives from NWS PUB and NWS AWC.
