Bill Line earned a B.S. (2011) and M.S. (2013) in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In 2013, Bill began working at the University of Oklahoma and Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK as a Satellite Liaison before transitioning to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, CO as a forecaster in 2016. In 2019, Bill joined the Regional and Mesoscale Meteorology (RAMM) Branch of NOAA/NESDIS as a research meteorologist.

Bill’s expertise and interests include developing and sharing best practices, displays, and procedures for incorporating geostationary and polar-orbiting satellite data into NWS operations. He has made numerous presentations at scientific meetings and published scientific journal articles, technical reports, and blog posts.
