GOES-East Composites/Climatology for Barbados

Barbados is a small tropical island with an area of approximately 431 sq. km centered at 13 10 N. Latitude and 59 32 W. Longitude. The drier season in Barbados is generally acknowledged to extend from November to May with the wetter season extending from June through October. Barbados is relatively flat with the highest point at 336m in the central region of the country. Presented below are monthly composites of Barbados and the surrounding region since data collection began in February 1998. Although not as pronounced as over Central America, interannual and intraseasonal variations can be noted.
