CIRA Commons opening
The first conference was held at CIRA’s brand-new conference center (CIRA Commons). The 10th Workshop of the International Precipitation Working Group (IPWG) and 6th International Workshop on Spaced-based Snowfall Measurement (IWSSM) Joint Workshop ran successfully during 13 – 16 June 2022. In total, there were 60 scientists participating in person in the 4-day joint workshop. CIRA received many positive comments about the organization of the workshop and about the new building. An official CIRA Commons ribbon cutting date is planned for later in the year. Funding source for CIRA Commons was part of a cost share commitment (from the office of the CSU Vice President for University Operations) made when CIRA recompeted for the Cooperative Agreement.
