A Critical Design Review (CDR) was conducted for the Tropical Cyclone Formation Probability product version 4 (TFCPv4) on 24 August 2020 with participants from StAR, CIRA, ASSISTT, and OSPO. The main goal of the update from version 3.1 to 4 of the product was to move from the McIDAS area files to native imagery formats from GOES-16/-17, Himiwari-8, and Meteosat-8/-11, upgrade TCFPv4 to use GFS output at 0.25 deg resolution, transition from the Reynolds Optimum Interpolation Sea Surface Temperature to the CMC SST, and upgrade the graphics to use Python
