C. Slocum provided researchers at University at Albany satellite and model data for Hurricane Dorian (2019) over its lifecycle. Hurricane Dorian reached major hurricane strength prior to ravaging Abaco Islands and Grand Bahama as a category 5 storm on the Saffir–Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. As Dorian moved northward, the storm made U.S. mainland landfall in Cape Hatteras and additional impacts were still felt along the East Coast. The University at Albany project is conducting a Weather Research & Forecast model sensitivity analysis on Hurricane Dorian. The data provided by RAMMB is being used to perform verification.
