A blog post titled “Mid-Dec 2021 Blowing Dust” was recently published. The post discusses NWS use of water vapor imagery and other imagery products during the recent widespread strong wind and blowing dust event across the central US. In particular, several NWS offices leveraged the DEBRA-Dust product, developed and processed in real-time at CIRA. See Figure below. The link to the post can be found here. (POC: B.
