Participation in HWT Satellite Experiment
Bill Line (SMCD/APDB) participated in-person in Week 2 of the Hazardous Weather Testbed Spring Satellite Experiment in Norman, Ok May 20-23. Bill assisted with the evaluation of the CIRA OCTANE products (PI is Jason Apke, CIRA). Bill also interacted with forecasters in the HWT and others in the National Weather Center regarding their general use of satellite imagery in operations, and challenges facing today’s operational forecasters.
