J. Torres presented on ‘CIRA SLIDER: the JPSS Sectors’ at the SBC Seminar Series on 8 August 2024. The presentation focused on the three JPSS Sectors that users can access online: the CONUS sector, and the Northern and Southern Hemisphere sectors. The presentation also discussed the following topics: a quick review of JPSS, the JPSS orbital configurations, key CIRA SLIDER features and new product updates, the JPSS satellite sequence and VIIRS data latencies, and items to keep in mind while utilizing JPSS and GOES data within the CONUS sector. An online demonstration of the web application was provided. Approximately 69 attendees attended the session.
