An article on the eruption of the Sheveluch volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia, that occurred on 11 November 2019 featured Ash RGB imagery pulled from CIRA’s RAMSDIS Online website. This imagery was acquired from the “Himawari Selected Sectors” page on RAMSDIS Online by the NWS Center Weather Service Unit (CWSU) in Oakland, CA, who then shared the imagery with The Weather Channel.
