SLIDER Lat/Lon Query Feature Launched

A new and much-requested “Lat/Lon Query” feature was added to SLIDER this week. Users can check a box in the SLIDER menu to turn the feature on and then will see latitude and longitude values for any point they click on. Links to copy either numeric (-105.15, 40.59) or text (105.15°W, 40.59°N) values to paste into other applications (e.g. Google Maps) are also provided. Currently the feature is only enabled for full disk geostationary imagery, but expansion to other sectors (CONUS, Japan) and JPSS is planned in the future. (POC: M. Niznik and K.
